Takako Fisher

takakofisher_photo

TAKAKO FISHER was born and raised in Japan where she cultivated her unique perspectives and love for drawing. Takako traveled to the United States in 1995 to deepen her knowledge of art, graduating from Harding University with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. After many years as a sought-after art director and graphic designer, she found her true passion: illustrating and storytelling for children. Takako lives in Arkansas with her husband, their little boy (who provides constant inspiration), and  two big dogs named Woody and Chuy.

Diana writes: There are SO MANY reasons to march today. Stand with: women, dreamers, transgender people, scientists, public schools and public libraries, national parks, reproductive justice, disabled people... Basically, if you have any empathy and care for your fellow human beings, join the @womensmarch. • Unfortunately I have to work, but I’m there in spirit. • I haven’t had time to create new art, but this #illustration is still appropriate. • #signofresistance #womensmarch #womenwhodraw #womenwithpencils #womensrights #togetherwerise #feministart #womenofillustration #dianatoledano #reproductiverights #plannedparenthood Happy weekend!
