DAN MEDEIROS is an accomplished typist. His debut book, “The Dragon Who Ate My Blueberry Pancakes,” received roomwide acclaim in Ms. McCusker’s first-grade art class due to its wry honesty and impressive glue-stick technique, which set him on the path to becoming an author. He has a master’s degree in creative writing from Emerson College in Boston, and has published short literary fiction and award-winning humor columns. He has several picture books in development and carefully follows his daughter around with a notebook for future ideas. He works as an editor, writer, and columnist at a daily newspaper in southeastern Massachusetts, where he lives with his wife and partner, illustrator Nik Wong, their daughter, two dogs, a cat, a few strays, and a possum who steals food they leave on the porch for the strays.
