TAKAKO (tàh-kah-koh) FISHER loves drawing baby animals—especially silly ones wearing overalls and rain boots. After graduating from Harding University with a BFA in Graphic Design, Takako became an advertising art director/designer. When her son was born, she started reading picture books everyday. It didn’t take long for her to realize how much she loved book illustration. The “Frog and Toad” series is her all time favorite because of their sweet friendship and cool outfits. Although her son is older now and reads young adult books, Takako’s love for children’s books continues to grow. Takako’s clients include: Golden Books, Cottage Door Press, HighFive Magazine and Cantata Publishing. Originally from Japan, Takako now lives and works Little Rock, Arkansas.
