Teresa Kietlinski | Literary Agent

 

Teresa Kietlinski began a new chapter in her career in 2016 with the launch of BOOKMARK LITERARY, an agency dedicated to creating exceptional illustrated books for children.

She began her agenting career in 2009, with an immediate focus on illustrators and picture book authors—an area her list continues to grow and thrive in today. Teresa brings over two decades of publishing experience across various facets of the industry, including marketing, publicity, PR, book design, and picture book art direction.

As an agent, Teresa has had the joy of launching debut creators and nurturing the careers of established talent. Her expertise lies in illustrated book development—she works hands-on with clients to shape manuscripts, book dummies, and portfolios with compelling visual storytelling. Her sweet spot is working on illustrated books for readers from babies through age 12.

When she’s not wrestling office supplies from her pencil-eating Doxie or Sheltie, Teresa can be found doodling, writing poetry, biking, or exploring the trails in Upstate New York. She lives by a lake in New Jersey with her daughter and a small fishing boat named Holy Mackerel.

Kelly Moore is currently an undergraduate student at Pace University majoring in Finance. She is a gifted writer, communicator and social media guru. When she’s not reading submissions, she enjoys watching ice hockey, cooking, exercising, cleaning, and cuddling with her Siamese and Bengal kitties.

Zoe Cronin is pursuing a bachelor of fine arts degree in art education, with a minor in sustainability, at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She is also a private children’s art instructor and aspires to become an art teacher at schools around the world. In addition to constantly cuddling her mini-schnauzer named Sox, Zoe enjoys painting, printmaking, fencing, traveling, gardening, and smiling.

Originally from Seattle, Cerise Steel moved to New York City to pursue an undergraduate degree from Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts in Fiction Writing and Journalism. She received her master’s degree from Emerson College in Publishing and Writing and currently works as a design assistant at Penguin Random House. When she’s not writing she’s usually reading, and when she’s not reading she’s usually running. She loves to travel and experience other cultures through their food.
